Paper: Pool Party, Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Pool Party, Basic Black, Real Red
Other: bakers twine, small heart punch, nestabilities

Hope you are ready for a wonderful weekend--I know I am--seem crazy that it is Friday already my son was off school Monday - Wednesday because of the weather so the week flew by!

Whoops, second post today--LNS challenge.

Almost did it again, I keep forgetting about posting my card on Wednesday for the LNS challenge.  The two week challenge for this time is to use your dies or framelits.  I must say I do that on most of my cards so it was a really easy one!  I decided to go with an nontraditional Valentine! Those of you who visit my blog often know I love to be different and Valentines is no exception.  I love these colors on this card, really fun to use the Oh, Happy Day for a Valentine card too--the unexpected!

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do--we did this at my class tonight.  Along with a few other fun ones I will be posting in the next few days.

Used lots of sets for this card:
Stamps: Perfect Pennants, Banner Blast, Starburst Sayings
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla, Really Retro DP
Ink: Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar
Other: Starburst Framelits, Hearts Framelits, rhinestone

Quick and Easy--non-mushy Valentine!

My son does not do Valentines anymore, but the last few years that he did he did not want anything that was mushy or lovey dovey.  With that in mind I decided to create a quick and easy Valentine that can just be printed, cut and assembled.  I hope you like it.  You can download the file with four to a page below.

It was so easy to create too.  Print out the file from HERE,
Cut out the fish bowls
Put into one of our clear envelopes or a baggie.
Add some gummy fish or even Fish Crackers
Tie up the top with a piece of ribbon and hang a tag
Happy Valentines Day
(mine is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set)

Pretty easy right?!

Be sure to check out my sidebar for my newest tutorials--including one for the
brand new Sale-A-Bration set See Ya Later.
That specific tutorial is HERE.

Happy Wednesday--half way to the weekend!

Try Stamping on Tuesday with a Twist!

Today's challenge is of course the sketch challenge but also with an added twist of Well Worn--I was excited to see that as the twist as I just got the new single stamp Look Up To Father and wanted to use it--worked out perfect!  Here is my card...

I had so much fun with this--I love distressing cards but don't do it that often.  The base is Baked Brown Sugar, then I used a piece of the Wood grain Natural Composition Specialty paper ans added some Baked Brown Sugar ink with a sponge.  I added the ink to the ribbon too and frayed the ends before attaching with brads (been a long time since I used those.  The image is stamped in Baked Brown Sugar on Very Vanilla and cut out with the ovals framelits.  Again I sponged ink on the endges.  All the the edges were distressed with out distressing tool.  The sentiment and brads candy dots along the side finished it off!  Hope you enjoy.  Here is the sketch to play along with us

The twist (if you choose to use it) is WELL WORN.

Have a great day!

LNS challenge--New beginnings!

A new year and lots of new things--that is what we are celebrating on LNS this week!  Our challenge for the next two weeks is to create a project that celebrates something new--new relationship, new home, new baby--you get it.   Here is my sample for today--it uses the brand new set--Baby We've Grown.

I also used the new paper pack called High Tide.  Cute papers--although some of the patterns I would never use--the opposite sides of those prints are darling!  The colors are Summer Starfruit, Pacific Point, Soft Sky and Whisper White.  I tied a really thin piece of Pacific Point paper on the button.  Didn't have any ribbon that matched.

Don't forget about my newest tutorials
